Personal and Business Law

A one-semester course covering basic principles of law that can be applied by citizens, consumers, or businesspeople.

Topics include sources of law, criminal law, social issues, and contracts. Class time will include class discussion, case studies, guest speakers, mock trial, and a field trip to King County Courthouse for actual trial observation. Students enjoy playing roles of prosecutor and defense attorney, defendant and witnesses. This class may be used as a social studies elective requirement for college entrance.
