
Floral Design 3 and 4
This is a two-semester fine arts "hands on" course in floral designing. This course is designed for students who have an interest in furthering their education in the floral industry. This course will provide the student with a progressive approach to floral designing and the ability to go out and get an entry level job in the floral industry. Students will learn advanced designing skills, wedding work, sympathy work, holiday arranging, marketing skills, display advertising, delivery work, communication skills, and how to start up and run a business. The class utilizes several local businesses to provide off site learning experiences through class field trips. Membership in the FFA student club is highly recommended for this class. A lab fee of 35 dollars is required. This course is also eligible for college credit through the Tech Prep consortium.
