Foods and Nutrition

This is a one-semester course dealing with foods and nutrition for a healthy lifestyle. The course is designed for students who find food fun and interesting. You will plan and prepare meals for yourself, other class members and guests. Topics include nutrition, consumer buying, international and American foods as well as exploring careers and current issues related to the food industry. It is a course for those who enjoy furthering their experiences in the many aspects of food. The student has the responsibility to pay the costs of individual projects which the student keeps.
