Video Production 1 & 2
This year-long course is designed for students to learn and prac
tice the steps of creating professional quality films. Students will participate in the planning stage of making a video in which outlines are created, scripts are written and shot lists are set up. Students will then learn how to use a video camera and also how to shoot videos, taking into account lighting, background, and other aspects of proficient filming techniques. In addition, sound technology will be taught, deleting background noise, enhancing sounds and promoting optimal listening levels. Students will attain skills in problem solving, group dynamics, organization, following procedures, and goal-setting--in addition to gaining experience with state-of-the-art video equipment. During the year students may study for and take the Industry Certification Test for Final Cut Pro.
