Manufacturing, Mechanics and Leadership
Shop Technology 9
Manufacturing, Mechanics and leadership (Shop Technology 9) is an introduction to engineering, manufacturing, construction, mechanics and communications. Students collaboratively apply problem-solving skills while working safely and efficiently in an industrial setting. Students design products through sketching and computer aided design (CAD). Students manufacture products with typical wood working equipment and fabricate projects with industrial welding equipment and metal supplies. Students perform general small gasoline engine diagnostic, tune-up and overhaul procedures. Students refine oral and written communication skills through project self-evaluations and cost estimates. Manufacturing, Mechanics and Leadership is the ultimate adventure for students yearning to work with their head and hands.
