Summer Leaders Seminar: United States Military Academy

The Summer Leaders Seminar provides outstanding high school juniors the exciting opportunity to gain a better understanding of the academic, physical, and leadership-development programs at a service academy that features small classes, a caring faculty, professional career preparation, and a foundation for future graduate study.

Oxford Advanced Studies Program: Summer Course 2008: July 1-25
This course has built a firm reputation as an academically and culturally enriching experience for high school students who are aiming for one of the top colleges; this year we are offering an exciting and stimulating academic program, with a greater emphasis on individual study, and a choice of inspiring lecture series.

Summer Youth Programs @ UW
Make the most of your summer by enrolling in one of the University of Washington's Summer Youth Programs- unique learning opportunities for elementary, middle, and high school students.

Open to incoming 9-12 grade students
Student Hours: June 24th-July 18th (Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 2 PM)
DigiPen programs: June 30-July 17 (Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM)
Earn .5 credit! $25 non-refundable registration fee (checks, money orders, and cash only). Some programs have additional program specific fees.

Willamette University: College 101: College Admissions Preparation Week: June 22-28
To choose the right college, you must have access to a wealth of information and be prepared to answer a variety of tough questions. College 101 provides answers to these questions and all the others you have on your list. Join us to make connections with experts who teach you about the resources you need to make the right educational choices.
College 101 is an educational and fun week of college admission preparation for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in attending college.
Some of the things you will experience at College 101: insightful sessions with experts from college admissions and financial aid, facts about college screening/scholastic tests like the ACT & SAT, sample SAT test with results and skilled advice for getting better results, sample classes taught by University faculty, and student hosts who share their real-life college experiences and answer your questions about life outside the classroom.
Cost for this seven-day program, including programming, notebooks, food and housing, is $650 per student. An early bird discount is available.
Housing will be provided 2 per room in a residence hall on the Willamette campus, and meals are served in the award-winning Goudy Commons.

Summer Term: Boston University
Summer is the perfect time for students to experience college life at Boston University!
High School Honors is a six-week residential or commuting program in which students can either take 2 Boston University undergraduate courses, earning up to eight credits, or conduct scientific research under the guidance of a faculty mentor. Participants must be entering their senior year in fall 2008.
Summer Challenge is a two-week residential program for students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year in fall 2008. Summer Challenge students enroll in 2 non-credit seminars designed specifically for the program. Seminar topics this year include abnormal psychology, business, creative writing, ecology, the history of Boston, international politics, introduction to Chinese, journalism, law, mass communication, persuasive writing, and visual arts. The Summer Challenge Program is ideal for students who wish to explore college-level work without the pressure of grades.

Ecology Youth Corps (EYC)
EYC is seeking eager, hard-working young people aspiring to help clean the environment and earn money this summer!
Any teenager who will be between the ages of 14-17 by the first day of employment is eligible to apply. EYC has no income, academic or previous work experience requirements.
Session 1: June 23 - July 18
Session 2: July 21 - August 15
